August 24, 2013

I am doing great. I am working hard to get up on time and go running
before the vault. Today was the first time in 3 weeks I haven't been
up before 5:30 am but it is my Temple and Research day. I will be
working on trying to figure out where Leo James Gonyer was born and
who his parents are.  I found a census record that says Leo was
Marshall and Katherine Thibodeau's son, but I am still searching. I
love the feeling when you find a record that solves a family mystery.
I love the work that I am doing. It is the work of the Savior and is a
huge part of the Plan of Salvation. I am so glad I am serving in the
Family and Church History Headquarters Mission. I love the people I
work with at the Vault. I work in one of the very few places in the
world that I would be safe from a nuclear war. It is 100% Bomb proof
and everything proof. I serve at the Granite Mountain Records Vault.
It is such an honor to be able to work at the GMRV because only six
young elders in the whole world get the opportunity to serve there at
one time. Well I am doing great and I am working hard. I hope all is
well on the home front. I am glad to see that Molly is doing Fantastic!
She looks Great! Thank you for your support. I love you all. Thank you
for everything you do.

I am doing pretty good. I am struggling because one of my best friends on the mission got sent home this week. It is hard to understand why but I am still striving to do my best and be the best missionary I can be. I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve on a mission. It is a proselyting mission according to our new mission president who I LOVE and support in everything he says and does. I know that he is called of God. I know that times are hard in life but we need to work through those challenges. I know that I am called to serve in the FCHH Mission for a purpose and a reason that I may not know but I know one thing is that I am here to serve the Lord. I am so proud of my little brothers and their example to me. I know that they will be great missionaries someday. I hope you are all well and working hard back in Boise. I love you all. Tell Molly hi for me. I love my Waldo Beast.

that Tyler got his permit. That is awesome dad finally got a fishing
boat. Here is the location of the GMRV: Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National
Forest, Utah. Its about 24 miles so we drive. We leave the apartments at 7 am.
How is molly my baby doing? I am working hard and plan to keep working hard. I have been struggling but I am working through it. I am also working on finishing the Book of Mormon for the 2nd time on my mission. I'm in Alma chapter 46. I am excited to see things are still going well for Tyler and his running. I love you so much and hope everything keeps going well at home.

I'm doing pretty good. Well I can't really tell you what I do at the vault but I can tell you what I wear. I wear a redcap shirt so like my diesel shirt and my Dickie's pants. It takes about 25-35 minutes to get there. It's pretty cool because they are completely renovating the vault right now actually they start doing it on Monday. I love the humidifier but my companion messes with it like every ten seconds its really annoying I have told him to stop but he doesn't listen. I love you and thank you for your support.

I am doing great! My new companion is a challenge to get in study time with and he doesn't really want to follow the rules.  He  thinks most of the rules are stupid. I am still working with him because I know that I was in that position once and my leaders never gave up on me. I will keep working with him. I am wondering if anyone wants to throw in some money or "steaks" for our party on the 24th of July. We are having a party for all of the young elders. Grandpa could bring his barbecue down and throw us a party. Only if he wants to though. He is welcome to according to Elder Andersen the New young missionary director. I'm sure President Workman will be there so they could talk to each other.
I am so proud of Colton for Starting and Finishing the mile Swim.
I have been working extremely hard to set an example to Elder Tanner and I am following all of the mission rules. I am working hard . I have 8 tickets to the Pioneer Day Concert. I also have an interview with President Workman on Tuesday. So I will let you know if I can have a bike on the mission next Saturday.
I love you guys and thank you so much for your prayers and support.

  • What are your responsibilities as a trainer? Show him and teach him all of the rules and to set a good example.
  • Tell me about your new companion. Well he is from Pleasant Grove, Utah and we are pretty much complete opposites. I am working hard to make him have fun. he has his challenges,  but I am working with him.
  • Who are the other Elders in your apartment and where are they from? New Jersey and Pleasant Grove as well.

I am training so I am very busy so I will keep it short this week.  I am doing great and am working hard. I love you guys and thank you so much for your support. Love you
